Mr. Brainwash Meets Kate Moss In Oxford Street Mural

Apparently Kate Moss has got all artists wrapped up around her fingers & lust struck over her. Can you blame them? ‘The Heroin Chick’ as she was so often regarded in the fashion world is quite an empowering woman.  At 38 she’s still scoring beauty & fashion campaigns. She still runs the runways and gives birth to Art Trends. If the world of art is bound to clash into the world of fashion who better to set the tone and stand as inspiration than Kate Moss? Two days ago Kate’s bright mural popped up on Oxford Street in London to announce & promote the début of  The London Exhibition of eccentric French street artist Thierry Guetta – known as Mr. Brainwash. The Exhibition will take place at The Old Sorting Office on August 3rd 2012.

The work of art is exquisite in my opinion, capturing Kate Moss‘s sexuality, looks, attitude… And eventually that’s what it’s all about. If an artwork moves its audience or wakens up a certain state of mind & feeling – it means it has reached its purpose. What I love most about Mr. Brainwash’s Oxford Street mural is – apart from the brilliant capture of the model’s persona – its urban, pop culture vibe, all bathed in young, vibrant & underground colours.

This art work is Kate Moss’s 3rd feature in ‘Art Meets Fashion Representation’. Marc Quinn has done a gold sculpture of the supermodel that was sold last year for half a million! And Lucian Freud painted the supermodel nude. So Kate, no stranger to the world of artists may have set the tone for a new art-fashion concept & trend. If we love it or not… who cares when the name behind the inspiration is Kate Moss and the artists are all talented eccentric painters & sculptors. Right?
