When last week I came across Loribay it hit me – First, I fell hopelessly in love with their online shop and community, cause never have I seen so many fabulous high end, designer pieces in one place, and such an amazing mixture of new & vintage pieces. And second, it got me thinking. Is luxury shopping more of an investment in timeless value, than an expense?Loribay is packed with over 100,000 styles & luxury designers that will definitely have you scrolling and adding a few items to your Christmas wishlist. From clothing to shoes, to accessories it’s an online heaven of luxury goods and high end brands like Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Balmain, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Alexander Wang – all gathered from massive online retailers such as Nordstrom, Luisaviaroma.com, ASOS, Barneys New York, Bluefly, Boutique1 or LN-CC.
Those of us constantly on the prowl for best shopping luxury brands at incredibly low prices (you wouldn’t want to miss Black Friday or Monday Countdown would you?) – Loribay & its sibling-site Delukt are definite must sees.
For extra styling tips, celebrity outfits, latest trends, promotions and all the goody-goody stuff Loribay fashion blog is the hub to check. Basically what they did was take the best from everywhere and bring this luxury world right at our fingertips.
The SALES section comes in handy, especially the arranging items by discounts from 90% – 10%. You can rate them, add them to your digital closet for later, or share them on your Social Media, which makes it easy to build your online wishlist closet. Even as I’m writing this I honestly can’t stop thinking about those fantastic shoes, the sexiest heels, boots and New Year’s Eve glamorous high sandals. Or the fur coats. Or the blazers. Oh… and those Burberry trenches. Okay, I’m also hooked on the Versace statement trousers, that had me thinking “Who needs a dress when these pants are so chic and expensive looking?”. But if I were to get a dress for NYE party I’ll be honest with you the leather mini dresses are the best I found online. Extremely simple but irresistibly sexy and timeless.
Statement Designer BLAZER look from Loribay: Boots: Luxury BOOTS from Loribay: Fur Coats: Loribay Fur Coat Look: Outfit alert: leather dress, sexy high heels (think ankle boots with peep toe), and fur coat! Sigh… I know what you’re gonna say, though. At what cost? No great thing ever comes without a slight sacrifice, which brings me to my second eureka moment, I was telling you about in the beginning.
I confess I had a load o skepticism in my pockets when visiting their site, cause let’s face it, when you hit a designer store its not exactly like buying chewing gum. But, ignoring my financial insecurities and throwing my ”Dear Prudence” out the window, I scrolled away, opening page after page of unbelievably glamorous sophisticated shoes, coats, blazers and whatnot. And then I had an epiphany (again): yes the price tag is a tiny bit higher, but we’re talking massive brands, whose quality & value will never fade. So… you do the math. I’m not saying lets all go and splurge millions on socks or mittens, just when the time calls for say a coat, a dress or a pair of posh shoes, we might as well add a few quids and have a high end piece, than be cheap, having to shop again for the same thing sooner than we might think.
More Loribay designer goods & street style for inspo… Luxury shopping is actually more affordable in time, than not, and though an army of accountants are lining up to strangle me right now, I’m gonna say it: it’s the best investment in fashion & clothes. Imagine if we all had vintage Chanels, Dolce & Gabbana or Versaces. I bet you’d still wear them regardless of their age, or especially due to their age. Read vintage quality. These clothes’ value not only remains the same over time, but sometimes grows. For sartorial connoisseurs such as ourselves, yes luxury clothes tend to be a statement, but aside from the name tag you’re actually shopping for timeless value, sophistication and refinement. And they look beyond amazing. They mix into any look, style, for any age, and all occasions. I’ve always been one to say you don’t have to break the bank to look good, but once in a while getting a staple to last a lifetime may be more of an investment than not, so yes I know what I want for Christmas!!! Drumrolls please… that outfit I was telling you about. Or even any piece from above. ;)
Feel free to sigh as you check out their store. Get the looks here:
