Holiday Party Looks & Styles! What To Wear For 2013 New Year’s Eve Party?

bare-back-party-dress-2013-new-years-eveJust yesterday I was telling you all how important it is to wear a cool piece of jewellery right? And this fashion tip goes without saying during the holiday season, when we need to dress up for a party. But… as important as accessorizing may be, the outfit itself bares the most importance. What look to go for, what clothes to choose for a Holiday party or New Year’s Eve can give the best fashionista a run for her money, especially with all the shops, fashion boutiques or websites bombarding us with tempting offers & sales? So ladies let us take a few steps back, breath and give in to our most extravagant fashion and style desires and dreams. Sure we can play it safe but what’s the point on the biggest night of the year?frizzy-sequined-dress-holiday-season-partyWhat to wear on New Year’s Eve party is a matter of where you’re going and what look you’re hoping to get. Personally I think this time of year is the best time to go wild on sequins, heels and all the sultry style choices. Just cause it’s fun and not ridiculous to go all the way on glamour! If you want to get a uber hot sexy look, but tasteful, opt for a mini sequined dress (black & nude tones are amazing), nude heels to elongate the legs, black ones for an extra classic touch or pops of colour for a slight sophistication (but keep your dress black and simple). For such a look you have to say goodbye to big extravagant accessories and limit yourself to simple tiny earrings, a ring or a bracelet. Oh… and a clutch of course. Throw over a knee length coat to keep you warm and you’re ready. My favorite glamorous look would probably be a mini black long-sleeved dress & black heels! black-sequined-mini-party-dress-new-years-evenew-yeareve-party-sequined-dressnude-sequined-new-year-eve-party-dressnude-sequined-party-dress

If you’re a girly girl go for a princess like dress, but just stay away from too many ruffles, sequins and embellishments to avoid looking like a candy. With such dresses you can try a girly punk look (depending on the texture) and wear a leather jacket on top & black tights. This glam rock vibe actually goes well with lots of mini dresses out there, and it’s a look you can opt for if you’re going out in a club, just don’t over do your hair & makeup. For all you sophisticated ladies who want to look the part but play it comfy, yet extremely stylish on such a night you can go for a uber sexy classic pair of black trousers, sequined top & structured blazer. Hot heels and a statement clutch, a long necklace or heavy earrings will make you the star of the night. Or you can go for mini sequined skirts and a sophisticated jumper. Jazz it up a bit with heeled pumps, cool jewellery and a smile. And the choices can go on… leather or lace dresses, shorts, skirts, trousers, stylish tops, red hot dresses, shoes, bags. Probably the key is to opt for heels, a nice clutch and a confident attitude. Sure if big brands would be at my fingertips I’d quickly go for Alexander McQuuen clutches (best ones in the world), Christian Louboutin heels and my #1 fashion obsession this season: long-sleeved black mini dresses. Back to earth now! So what to remember for 2013 holiday season? Though I don’t believe in fashion rules, one thing remains true for me, when it comes to big parties… ‘it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed’, right?
