How To Wear Ankle Boots? Looks, Tips & Street Style Close-Up!

A fashion trend that seems to still hang in there and continue to claim its success is The Ankle Boots Trend. Anywhere you look on the streets, in stores, be it designer or high street, these sexy shoes are there. Millions of styles does not begin to describe this fashion craze, as the ankle boots come in as many designs and styles as there are people on Earth: heels (thick, stilettos, high or low), thousands of colors, prints, cuts, textures, for any occasion, outfit or taste.

here are a few looks I’ve made up for some fashion inspiration!

Streets are swirling with ladies strutting their stuff in heeled ankle boots (black or nude mostly) with tights and dresses or skirts, topped with blazers for an ultra chic & comfy office look, or keep it simple in skinny black trousers and sophisticated blouse. A big bag for work and a comfy scarf to keep you warm will complete the look. For those brunch dates with your girlfriends, weekends or day-offs from work opt for flat ankle boots with skinny jeans and slouchy sweaters/jumpers (click here). If you’re more girly stick to chic feminine tops and wear thick heeled ankle boots. If you want to feel more of a rock-star, than go for black studded ankle boots with jeans, skirts and leather jackets or parkas. Are you having a date over the weekend? Stick to the ankle boots look: go for stiletto heels! I love nude or black ankle boots for going out/parties or special occasions. Remember my previous post on denim cutoffs & tights? (click here for more) Well… ankle boots put the style in that too – it goes without saying. Than you have the parka (click here) or coat (click here) to wear on top of any outfit while stepping in style.  Ankle boots literally go with anything. They put some edge and rock’n roll in your outfit but still manage to look chic and feminine. I love clashing styles so when I get the style urge I mix heeled uber sexy ones with jeans and sweaters, to get a very sophisticated look, or I may wear some punk studded flat ankle boots with a flirty dress and leather jacket. Leggings go amazing with these shoes and depending on what look you’re going for you can jazz them up with just about anything: heavy jewelry, scarves, hats, beanies, bags, clutches…

And if you’re thinking ankle boots are only for us non VIP mortals – you couldn’t be more wrong. Some of the sexiest and most beautiful celebs are rocking these shoes not only on a daily basis (when they’re all oh-so-cool running errands in LA) but hear this… right on the red carpet! Yep… we’ve seen it, you’ve seen and we love it. It just goes to show you how sexy and edgy ankle boots can look and how easily you can mix them with even a cocktail dress. Sure they might cost a month’s rent but who cares when you’re stepping in Giuseppe Zanotti, Manolos or Alexander McQueen, right? Oh no ladies, do not panic! Ankle boots (being a little too many) can be found in any store at any price…. And remember it’s not the label that counts. Money can buy clothes & brands but can never buy style, right?

  4. Right, they’re comfy but…I’m not entirely convinced, because this ankle-cut is risk.
It optically reduces the length of your legs. I think just the leggy girls look really good in these boots.

    • oh yeah, i know what u mean, so used to think the same, but i’ve noticed if i wear skinnier jeans with a high waist, in the same color as the shoes, it tends to not show where the shoes end and the trousers begin, and it somehow elongates the legs. But i totally know what u mean! Thanks M :) xox

  5. Hiya! Quick question that’s entirely off topic.

Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly?
My blog looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone.
I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix
this problem. If you have any suggestions, please
    share. Many thanks!
