With an ever-changing style, who’s only constant is its unpredictability and edginess, Rihanna has come a long way from the 15 year old Barbadian girl who only had a dream. Confessing that as a child she had few fashion options, Rihanna has sure made up for all those years, rocking it now, on and off stage, in outfits that are never just clothes, but rather a statement, if not of fashion than of her mood or state of mind.
A fashion chameleon she’s never afraid to try out the craziest and most outrageous outfits or hairstyles. She became a hairstyle icon with an array of haircuts and hairstyles that few women tried in a lifetime. She tried them all in a few years. Unafraid, she went from the average brown long locks to uber short & dark. Then to blonde. Then to bright red. Short, long, curly, straight, bangs and no-bangs. Then it was all curly brown and natural. Then it was long black. And now it’s pixie. What else does she have up on her sleeve? Who knows…
And she always had million looks and outfits to fit the new persona she was strutting. Best thing about Rihanna’s style? It’s eclectic, it’s always different, new, effortless, experimental, cool. She goes from Tom boy to extremely girly or sassy looks in an instant, and dons with the same fashion credibility an androgynous looks only to show up the next day in a feminine dress. Same ease and sophistication applies when she’s out having fun in boyfriend attire, with jumpers, caps, sneakers and then ditches them to stun on the red carpet. Bare midriffs, bare back, bare legs, tattoos, piercings, lips to kill for that look brilliant in any color – she’s owning all the looks. From bad to good girl in a minute. Unable to stay true to just one style she embraces all and none, and is often seen wearing different designers (Gaultier, Gucci, Chanel) and looking amazing in all.
Staying true to her love for excessive jewelry, she never ditches her sexy rings, bracelets or necklaces. But rather adorns herself with what some may say is too much. Praised by some and criticized by others for her sometimes extreme sense of style, she seems to not give a damn. Should she? If it’s not at 20 something that you experiment with fashion and looks, then when? Rihanna’s style and fashion choices seem to reflect her own persona, her free spirit and her un-obedience to rules. Rihanna stands (fashion wise) for an utmost fluctuating style, a limitless energy of expression and experimentation and a playful fun attitude towards dressing up. Isn’t that what fashion is all about?

God I LOVE her
Me tooo!!!! she’s my all time fave:) it was high time i did a post on her:) Thanks Emmy! xoxo
She is beautiful. without any trace of doubt, BUT I usually disagree with the way she is (un)dressed
She can be one step too close to being vulgar , but I suppose it’s part of her image.
i suppose so:) i can’t think straight in terms of rihanna lol. I love her and her style, and it’s this exact craziness and don’t care attitude she’s got that makes me adore her. So… vulgar (which she may look at times) or not, I forgive her lol. Thanks daria:) xoxoxo
Wow she certainly is a chameleon. Okay she’s not my favourite but you’ve gotta give the girl credit for her fashion. She’s made herself into a style icon that I’m fairly sure will go down in the history books and for that she gets my full respect!
very well said Caroline! thanks
